Here’s another funny story about pets. This time it will be about a dog. I would love to take credit for this one myself, but I owe this one to a story I heard last week.

A girl had a seeing eye dog to help her out. It was a beautiful lab named Ripple. She had to go and have a CT scan done a few years back at the local hospital. Sounds simple enough. Well of course she took her dog with her. She went to get the scan in the x ray area and took the dog with too. She was told that Ripple could go with her but could not sit with her while she was having the scan done. Still sounds kosher.

So the dog stayed with the x ray technician. After the scan had begun, she heard the technician say “NO. No. Come back here.” Ripple ran away from her and came into the scanning room. The tech had to come in and get her.

She had to have another set of x rays done right after that they thought they would try something a little different. There was a big wooden chair in the hallway so they tied Ripple to the chair. During her other x rays she could hear a very loud noise in the hallway and a bunch of people laughing. Then the x ray tech came in and told her that Ripple was so determined to get to me that she was slowly dragging the chair down the hall to get to the room that we were in. Now that’s a loyal dog.
